Russell Turner: In 1997 karting with Club100 Karting, then sprinting. 1st Race at Lydden Hill after morning sprint hooked.

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Ford Escort. What is your dream racing car?
R.T.: Aussie v8 Supercar.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
R.T.: Bathurst 1000.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
R.T.: Football till broken ankle stopped that.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
R.T.: Mend cars!

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
R.T.: Jim Clark and Steve McQueen.

BS: What are your expectations for 2014?
R.T.: Hope for big grids for TinTops.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
R.T.: Hope it's a nightmare. Buy a Harley and tour.

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
R.T.: A good ale or a larger vodka and coke.
