Robert Taylor, Ford Fiesta driver in Cannons TinTops Championship, class T4, age 47.

BARC SEC: OK green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Robert Taylor: Was always interested in racing as used to go and watch my Dad when he was racing Stock Cars in the 60's/70's. Got the bug again watching a friend in Stock Hatch 750 Motor Club. My wife then brought me a track day for my 40th birthday and that was it. Was lucky enough to find a Fiesta for sale in Leeds and so my racing began.

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Ford Fiesta. What is your dream racing car?
R.T.: Aston Martin DBRS9.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
R.T.: Le Mans 24 hours.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
R.T.: Football.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
R.T.: I am a Self-Employed Plumbing & Heating Engineer.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
R.T.: Motorsport - My Dad and James Hunt. Non Motorsport - Henry Ford.

BS: What are your expectations for 2014?
R.T.: In 2014 I hope to compete in every Tin Top race and be competitive within my class.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
R.T.: If there were no cars I would phone Superman for a lift.

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
R.T.: Bacardi and Coke.

BS: Thanks and good luck.

Robert Taylor
