BARC SEC: Ok green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Nick Proudlock: Age 12 in a mechanics race driving a KFC sponsored A40 at Angmering grasstrack club which is now the Oval racing Club, I later raced a 105E in the juniors when I was 13 (min age).

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Mk1 Escort. What is your dream racing car?
N. P.: Any 1990s BTCC car.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
N. P.: British Rallycross Grand Prix.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
N. P.: I used to play schoolboy rugby and did a bit of boxing when I was younger but now it's motorsport or fishing.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
N. P.: Building up my new business Seahaven Cars and Vans where I buy/sell/repair and transport cars,vans, caravans and trailers.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
N. P.: .: Colin McRae and my mum whom we lost to cancer in 2010.

BS: What are your expectations for 2013?
N. P.: Racing wise? Enjoy competing.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
N. P.: Lose weight due to walking everywhere.

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
N. P.: Tea.
