One lap with...

Ross Loram, Peugeot 206 driver in Quaife Intermarque Championship, class HR, age 28.

BARC SEC: Ok green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Ross Loram: Grew up around the short ovals, jumped in Dads hotrod at a practice day a few years ago and haven't looked back since!

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Peugeot 206. What is your dream racing car?
R.L.: Ooh the choices! Probably either a Radical SR8 or a DTM car.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
R.L.: Le Mans always sends a bit of a shiver down my spine, either that or the Bathurst 12 hours. Something epic.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
R.L.: I'm getting quite into cycling, infact if I look a little worse for wear at the first meeting at Brands this year it'll be due to the 62 mile cycle event i've been silly enough to enter the week before. Seemed like a good idea at the time! Can't resist a bit of football too, all hail the mighty Torquay United!

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
R.L.: Being chased by dogs and old ladies on my post round. Either that or at the garage working on some crazy idea or another.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
R.L.: Tommi Makinen, Ayrton Senna, Alex Zanardi, John Cleland... and Philip Young! ;) Away from the track, Richard Branson, Ranulph Fiennes and Bradley Wiggins.

BS: What are your expectations for 2013?
R.L.: To try and finish the majority of the races, it would also be great to nab a trophy at some point.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
R.L.: I can't even contemplate that, it's too horrible!

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
R.L.: I'm not a drinker so that'll be a J20 please!

BS: Thanks and good luck.
