BARC SEC: Ok green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Neil Jessop: I spent my teens watching oval racing at Arlington and eventually started racing bangers in 1998. I progressed through several formulas ending up in a 2litre hot rod for a few years.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
N.J.: Bathhurst in Australia in a V8 Supercar.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
N.J.: I enjoy cycling and managed to complete the London to Brighton last summer.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
N.J.: I work as a test engineer.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
N.J.: I always admired Barry Sheene for his ability to win races whilst looking like he wasn't taking it seriously.

BS: What are your expectations for 2013?
N.J.: To develop the car and get closer to the front.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
