Stewart Hutchinson, Honda Integra driver in Quaife Motorsport News Saloons, class E, age 49.

BARC SEC: OK green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Stewart Hutchinson: Started work at 17 at a motorbike shop and the owner did a bit of Historic racing in a Honda S800…..I was hooked ! Eventually got my own S800 and started racing in the HSCC in 1989.

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Honda Integra. What is your dream racing car?
S. H.: Any of the full works BTCC Honda's of the last few years…to go an average of 10 sec. faster than I am now would be an amazing feeling !

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
S. H.: An endurance race at the 'Ring', love the place.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
S. H.: Used to do a bit of Trials riding and Studied Ju-Jitsu for many years up to Black Belt level and eventually Instructing.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
S. H.: Running my Kitchen / Bedroom replacement door company.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
S. H.: Motorsport heroes have changed recently as I am involved with Charity Karting events and the Kartforce Team of injured soldiers have opened my eyes to what a 'true' hero is.
Non-motorsport…I would have to say my wife Louise who has put up with me and my racing over the past 25 plus years and does an amazing job of looking after our Autistic son Kieran.

BS: What are your expectations for 2013?
S. H.: To finish every round and get faster as I get to grips with the finished car. To finish high up on the Driver Standings would be a bonus for my first year in QMN.

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
S. H.: Ride my Honda CBR600 !

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
S. H.: Easy one….Southern Comfort over ice !!

BS: Thanks and good luck.

Stewart Hutchinson
