BARC SEC: OK green flags – lets go: how did your adventure with motorsport get started?
Philip Blackford: In Stock Rods on the ovals, only occasionally from around 2000 and then a brief spell in 2Litre Hot Rods then Silhouettes / Intermarque.

BS: You're behind the wheel of your Peugeot 206 CC. What is your dream racing car?
P.B.: Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 or DTM car.

BS: What is your dream motorsport event you want to take part in?
P.B.: Goodwood Festival Of Speed / Hill Climb or Monaco Grand Prix for the pure test of ability.

BS: Hard braking now – are there any other sport disciplines you're familiar with?
P.B.: No other sports I participate in, but I am a fan of Brighton & Hove Albion football team.

BS: Racing is on weekends – what are you doing weekdays?
P.B.: Coal Man.

BS: Who are your motorsport and non-motorsport heroes?
P.B.: Motorsport: Mark Webber, John McGuinness, Ormand Christie & any underdog with determination. Non Motorsport: Parents, Nurses, Soldiers & Volunteers For Good Causes.

BS: What are your expectations for 2014?
P.B.: Same as always: pass scrutineering, pass noise test & not to go off on the first corner!

BS: Very tricky corner now – imagine there are no cars in the world, what would you do?
P.B.: Have tired legs walking everywhere!

BS: And finish line – it's time for a drink. What's your favorite one?
P.B.: A pint of Diet Coke please.

BS: Thanks and good luck.
